Dear KKMC listening Friend,

As KKMC approaches the end of its 23rd year of being the Central Coast’s Christian Radio, it’s time for thanksgiving and for recognition. Over the years you have seen my picture in this column on a regular basis. It’s time for a change. I say, Enough’s enough! Over the next several months I’d like to introduce you to the rest of the KKMC staff.

First to be recognized, would be my wife Lorraine, who has labored faithfully since 1985; she’s the Sales and Marketing department, she’s the Administrative Supervisor who keeps me and the rest of us organized and on our toes. She doesn’t climb the tower or mow the grass at the transmitter site, but she does nearly everything else behind the scenes to keep KKMC running smoothly.

From following up on advertising and program inquiries, to scheduling interviews and station participation in such events as the Annual Prayer Breakfast, the CPC Walk, The Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference and the National Day of Prayer, Lorraine’s touch is gratefully and indelibly seen on almost everything that happens behind the scenes.

In 1984, when Lorraine heard that KKMC was going to be a Christian Station, she responded with, “The Salinas Valley needs more Salt! ‘Little did she realize that the Lord would allow her to be a part of the staff for over twenty years.”

We are all grateful for the vital role Lorraine has played and continues to play at KKMC.
